Professor Des Gorman
Professor Gorman is Head of the University of Auckland’s School of Medicine and Head of the Clinical Training Agency Board, Executive Chairman of the National Health Workforce Board (Health Workforce New Zealand) and a member of the National Health Board.
He has a PhD from the University of Sydney, awarded on the basis of research into brain injuries. Professor Gorman also has a BSc, and MB ChB. His clinical, research and teaching interests include medical education and sociology, neurology, toxicology and occupational medicine. Professor Gorman brings expertise in the treatment of brain injuries, the health workforce and indigenous health to the Working Group
Professor Gorman is based in Auckland.
